I really like how this one has turned out. Sorry I won’t be able to see it when we meet soon for the KIA retreat.

Thank you @Anton, I am happy you like him, But sadly, he never really looks that much like his photo. I think 2D isn’t exactly doing the trick. 🙂
It’s ironic really, there are a few people who would like to see him, and haven’t, and the people who can, are not too happy about it. 😀
I changed the photo for a more recent one, but as you can see…. he’s still not finished yet. (Staying on track was never my strong point.) 😉
I am trying to make him intuitively, which I have found is the only way to go with a spirit doll, if I try to do anything to him that is thought about or done simply because it would look good, it doesn’t work at all. … so i guess I’ll use that as an excuse for me taking so long.
……He’s changed again. 🙂
Wow! He looks really cool! Sometimes taking time helps to generate stronger energy. I’m looking forward to see the finished doll, that is if it will ever really be finished. Magical objects like this tend to get life of their own and change with time. 🙂
He appears to get surprisingly more powerful with every working that I do @agent-V So I am sure that you understand well the essence of what I am inspired to do. 😀
Many thanks for your comment, I am very happy that you like his feel, as… after all he was initially intended to be my spirit doll, (however… who nose what he is?) He is changing even more now, his arms and fingers are getting longer, his hands are getting bigger, and his tongue appears to be changing into a snake.
I have made him some eyes, but it appears that he doesn’t need them just yet, or perhaps… He doesn’t need them at all……
It is often quite a long time between inspirations, (Although it’s pretty difficult, I try not to let aesthetics get in the way of intuition.) But when I do pick him up and manage to ‘see’ what he he is becoming next, there is usually rather a lot of workings all at the same time.
I totally understand that he is ever changing, (the nature of the beast so to speak.) 🙂 I too get the very strong sense that he will never be finished. and I guess that’s why I knew he will never be named.
Is this for Liber KKK work with fetishes? I used oven bake clay for mine; I like what you’ve done here. I’m very impressed. =) He has presence and character. Well done. =)
Thank you @reilus. I am happy that you appreciate him. 🙂
er… actually, I don’t have the slightest idea what Liber KKK is, so I guess I will have to confess that he is manifest for entirely his own reasons really.
I would really like to see a photo perhaps of some of your work if that is possible.
He is here, although I had no idea of it when I first started to create him, (in his ever changing persona,) to represent a rather interesting friend of mine. 😉
@trace ‘Liber KKK’, or ‘Liber Kaos Keraunos Kybernetos’ is part of a book on Chaos Magic called ‘Liber Kaos’ by Pete Carroll. It includes working with evocation, invocation, enchantment, divination and illumination in five different styles of magic: Sorcery, Shamanic, Ritual, Astral and High.
Thank you for the explanation @Anton, no surprises that I’ve not heard of it then….
I very occasionally wonder if It would help if I read books on magik.
……. But not for long. 😀
The doll looks great! I love the real feathers! 🙂
@trace I’ll tell you how I came across Liber KKK. I hope you’ll forgive my lack of proofreading. I’m about to go out to some meetings, but I want to do this before I forget about it; so you’ll get this in stream of consciousness. I apologize for the inconvenience.
I met with a man who claimed to be ex IOT; he admonished me not to mention his Pact name publicly. How convenient, eh? I wasn’t sure if I could believe his stories until I talked with present and former Pact members and realized that he’s either done the same and constructed an intricate lie to build credibility or he was telling the truth. I met him back in 2000 on a message board where we were discussing certain martial science techniques; our exchange ended in a challenge he issued to me, which involved a lesson in fisticuffs. After he drove from Mississippi to Kansas — where I was stationed when I was in the military — we became instant friends and I invited him to stay at my place for a couple weeks.
He suggested that I read the following texts:
Liber MMM — http://www.chaosmatrix.org/library/chaos/texts/libermmm.pdf
LIber KKK — http://www.chaosmatrix.org/library/chaos/texts/liberkkk.html
Oven Ready Chaos — http://www.philhine.org.uk/writings/pdfs/orchaos.pdf
If I asked questions, he would act like a Zen master and say “sounds good to me, try it” or something like that. After I tried whatever it was that I was working on, he’d tell me how he did it. Once I progressed through the work, he told me the source books that those things came from and I bought those before I left the United States to travel for more than six years. I carried those books with me in most places and practiced as I traveled.
The books are
Liber Null & Psychonaut — http://goo.gl/3OR226
Liber Kaos — http://goo.gl/ZsNLgf
Condensed Chaos — http://goo.gl/E5qrwc
Prime Chaos — http://goo.gl/w68aad
I’ve seen the last two go in and out of print. Having two copies of CC, I was able to sell one at more than 200 dollars the last time it went out of print. I suggest you scarf these up now if you’re interested.
It is also worth noting that my mentor advised me against working directly with the IOT; he actually told me that I should look into KIA and Z Cluster if I wanted to work with Chaos Magicians and said there were other Ex IOT people in those groups; that’s how I found my way here all those years ago. I have a few friends and many associates who are present or former Pact members; I have no opinions on the organization. I will say that I’ve been in some ways please and in some was disatisified with almost every society, order, or magical gestalt I’ve worked with. It always seems to be a mixed bag that depends on the context, the individual, and the paradigms at work.
But, back to the point, my mentor considered those the core books. Indeed, when George Jackson, Adept V founded the Sorcerer’s Guild, he used Condensed Chaos as a text for the latter portion of the Work, after doing some of the Seven Arrows works and other works. I may offer a Path of the Adept course for the Guild at a later time, but I’m unable to undertake that commitment now. I am working to get the material, at least what we share with the public, re-typed, edited and published. George has been supportive in this effort and is greatly encouraged that someone is doing it. He’s also proven to be an excellent mentor within his private tutelage. I’m not sure when this publication will be done; it’s a side project.
@Reilus That’s a great story. I feel similar about magical groups. I think people are people and every group will have its problems and drawbacks but also its strengths. To me it’s all about finding right balance between them.
@trace I think you would really enjoy Phil Hines work! He is very easy to read, fun and deep at times. good mixture. I think reading some of it (occult and esoteric books) could be good for you because you would be able to understand what others talk about. It would help you find common language to express ideas too. I began reading very early on and that was how I realised that my approach to life can be called magick. 😀 If by any chance you will get tempted by reading books on magick do not worry if you can’t understand any of it. I didn’t for first few years of reading them! 😀 Magick is in them and will affect you subconsciously…
Heheh. That’s very interesting @Lolita, without going into detail, the notification for your comment was synced with something that I was already doing.
It appears that I will at least begin to read as many of @Reilus ‘s list that are available to me, and see what happens. (after all, I’m totally used to not knowing what you guys are talking about.) 🙂
I have read snippets of his stuff before, but needless to say, I have already started with Phil Hine, and the art of cooking with chaos. 😀
