The dangers of fundamentalism. In fact the true meaning of christianity isn’t that different from any other form of mysticism, but those that take the mythos as literal truth are as silly as those that believe that a bearded war god sits in the clouds sending lighning bolts down with a magic axe/hammer to stop the dragons/serpents/trolls/giants from climbing up to heaven.

The comments all made me laugh, and it’s interesting that I was talking with a friend last night, about evolution. He said that two of three hundred years or so, and he reckons that evolution will be just about universally excepted. I had to say that I really couldn’t understand why people still believed in Adam and eve, and the serpent tempting her with the tree of knowledge, and all that jazz… which was obviously too daft to be taken literally anyway. Personally it seems that evolution is far more of a miracle than all that slagging off snakes crap! 🙂 Even the metamorphosis of a caterpillar into a butterfly is pretty feckin’ miraculous.
Wassamatter with ’em? Do they believe everything they are told? … they may as well read the newspapers, as the bible. its just as truthful.. and just as bloody miserable too!
